Old Paths Bible Church
A group of people who believe loving God means loving his Word, loving his commandments, loving his people, loving his world. Scriptural truth is preached, singing is conducted in a rousing way, free from beat or contemporary pollution, worship in the Spirit is encouraged, holiness is our lifestyle, the fellowship of the saints in love is our goal. We preach the death, burial, ressurection, and revelation of Jesus Christ as the gospel by which we are saved - repentance, baptism in the name of Jesus Christ, the gift of the Holy Ghost, a life of holiness. We are continuing in the apostles' doctrine, fellowship, breaking of bread, and prayer. An oasis for Christian families!
The meetings are very down to earth and traditional without being formal. Scripture is elevated as the ultimate authority. Children are welcome as well as people of any age; this is a friendly church. There is no attempt made of production, just a simple gathering of Christians! The first Sunday night of the month is usually a fellowship meeting with dinner on the grounds. Activities include monthly shape note singings, scriptoriums, special prayer meetings, outreach, and times of fellowship.
